JS ventilation possess the expertise required to develop and install ventilation systems ensuring safety in rooms and places with an atmosphere subject to explosion danger due to gasses, fumes, aerosols or dust from among others metals or wood.
The installations are carried out in accordance with the tightened regulations of the EU ATEX- directive from 2003. This directive, in particular lay down demands on the choice of ventilators, their motors and other devices..
Safe ventilation, at the incident of explosion dangers, must be based on a risk assessment, which you as a company is obliged to elaborate –if necessary in collaboration with external consultancy.
The risk assessment is based on categorised zones requiring individual precautions:
1: Zone 0 and Zone 20
An atmosphere where explosive danger is present frequently, continuously or for long periods
2: Zone 1 and Zone 21
An Atmosphere where explosive danger is likely to occur in normal operation occasionally
3: Zone 2 and Zone 22
An atmosphere where explosive danger is not likely to occur in normal operation but, if it does occur, will persist for only a short period
